Choose, connect, test, and verify

Welcome to PITCH Owner 05. Company email is ready only when the correct mailbox is connected, the provider has the minimum permission required to send, and a controlled test actually arrives. Choose the company sender, connect the secure provider path, send a safe test, and verify the visible sender and reply-to identity.

Match the provider to the secure path

Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 use provider sign-in instead of a mailbox password. Google needs Gmail send access. Microsoft needs Mail.Send and offline access for token renewal. Yahoo uses a Yahoo-generated app password over SSL. Use advanced SMTP only when required, and never enter the normal mailbox password.

Check sender, permission, and readiness

Only an Owner or Administrator can open Communication, then Company Email. Confirm that the sender name, company mailbox, and reply-to address are what customers should see. Review the requested permission before approving it. Do not treat the provider button alone as completion; downstream notifications remain not configured until the company mailbox satisfies PITCH readiness.

Connect the customer-facing mailbox

Connect one secure provider. Approve Gmail send access for Google or Mail.Send and offline access for Microsoft. For Yahoo or another SMTP provider, use a provider-generated app password and the required SSL or STARTTLS settings. PITCH encrypts stored tokens and app-password secrets.

Send a controlled delivery test

Save the sender name, mailbox, and reply-to address, then use Save and Send Test Email. PITCH sends the test to the current signed-in Owner or Administrator and records the result, recent test time, and any provider error. Confirm the message arrives with the correct From and Reply-To identities. Do not mark setup complete while an error remains or the test is missing.

Verify one training-only mailbox

Use an Owner or Administrator in a training workspace. Select the correct provider, approve only the requested send access, keep every app password private, and send one controlled test to the signed-in user. Record Ready status, provider, recent test time, successful delivery, and the correct From and Reply-To identities.
